in the mediaSecurity Solutions Group Noted Author, Close-Combat Expert, to Teach in Omaha January 8, 2008 Omaha, Nebraska – Michael Janich, noted author and close-combat expert will be in Omaha February 15, 2008 conducting a self-protection seminar open to the public. The seminar, sponsored by Security Solutions Group, a Nebraska personal security services and training provider, will be held at The Millard Black Belt Academy, 13818 “U” Street, Omaha, NE from 6-10 pm. Janich, a 30-year veteran of the martial arts, is the author of eight books and numerous instructional DVD’s dealing with topics from point shooting to edged weapons. Janich is most well know for his work with edged weapons, specifically tactical folding knives as they relate to self-protection. He is the founder of Martial Blade Concepts the official edged weapons system sponsored by Masters of Defense and Blackhawk Products Group. He will be in Omaha providing advanced training for members of Security Solutions Group who serve as affiliate instructors in his Martial Blade Concepts curriculum. During that time Janich will teach a “Street Skills Workshop” open to the public. The seminar will address his rarely taught empty-hand system. Participants can expect to learn the basics of realistic empty-hand self-protection, counter weapon skills and self-defense with the tactical flashlight.
